About Sollia Gjestegård
Sollia Gjestegård is idyllically situated at Storskog, approximately 500 meters from the Russian border and with panoramic views over Lake Neitijärvi. The main building from 1929 was originally built as a kindergarten and from the 1960s onwards the place has been operated as an inn. The property includes cabins, annexes, a campsite several kilometers up in the mountains, and the restaurant Gapahuken, which serves local specialties and opens onto a large terrace with views over the water. There is also a relaxation area with an outdoor jacuzzi and sauna with views toward Russia. Right outside the door lie cross-country skiing tracks and hiking trails, and the guesthouse facilitates winter activities such as northern lights safaris, dog sledding, and snowmobile adventures. The location at Storskog border station makes it a unique starting point for experiencing the borderland in South Varanger.
