About Barents Safari
Barents Safari has delivered grand experiences in Norwegian Lapland since 1996 and is based in Kirkenes in Sør-Varanger. The company considers itself one of the most experienced operators in the region and offers a wide range of guided tours in both summer and winter. In summer, king crab safari by RIB boat is a highlight: guests harvest fresh king crabs from the traps and enjoy a meal with king crab at the company's landing facility. River boat safari travels up the Pasvik River to the Norwegian border at Boris Gleb, featuring stories of Skolt Sami history and the Orthodox cultural heritage in the border area. Additionally, quad and ATV safaris and e-bike tours are offered. In winter, snowmobile safaris venture into the taiga forest of Pasvik Valley, to Grense Jakobselv at the Barents Sea and towards Neiden and Finland, as well as king crab safaris and northern lights hunts. Tours include a local guide, warm clothing and insight into the culture and history of the borderland towards Russia.
