Modern swimming facility in the heart of Kirkenes
About Barentsbadet
Barentsbadet opened formally in January 2008. The facility encompasses 2,800 square meters, with the main floor housing swimming pools, saunas, changing rooms, water slides, diving board, bubbling features and a café. The main pool is a 25-meter sports pool with six lanes. There is also a heated therapy pool of 12.5 meters at approximately 34°C and a separate children's pool. Adjacent to the main pool are a 1 and 3 meter diving board, two water slides and a climbing wall for water activities. The facility has saunas by the changing rooms and a solarium at the main entrance. It is universally designed and accessible for wheelchair users, and features a café with basic food service. Barentsbadet is also a popular venue for birthday parties. Opening hours vary throughout the year – see the facility's website for current hours.
