Salmon and sea trout fishing in Nyelva. Note: The river is closed to fishing from 1 August 2024. Nyelva, called Oddajohka in Sami, is a river in Nesseby municipality in Finnmark. It originates from the mountain plateaus at the border with Sør-Varanger municipality and flows north to its mouth in Veidnesbukta in Varangerfjorden at the village of Nyelv. The river is 21.0 kilometers long. European Route 6 crosses the river just before its mouth. Salmon travel 7-8 km up the river.
