Dog sledding and silence in Tana Valley
Tana Husky is run by Dag Broch, born and raised in Tana and one of Norway's leading dog sledders. The farm is home to around 40 Alaskan huskies, and each winter Dag competes in long-distance races such as the Finnmark Race and the Bergeby Race – in the same areas where you will drive your tours. At Tana Husky you can drive your own dog team or sit as a passenger, from short introductory experiences to multi-day wilderness expeditions in the Finnmark mountains. In summer you can visit the farm and meet the dogs, and there is also a cultural program – Dag enjoys singing for both the dogs and guests. Embrace the silence, as they say it themselves: Tana is home to fewer than 3000 people spread across 4000 square kilometers, and dog sledding is the quiet way to travel.
