About Polmakmoen Gjestegård
The guesthouse offers accommodation in gammes, cabins and rooms. Each gamme is equipped with a kitchen, bedding and towels, its own bedroom and living room, and can be heated with both electricity and wood. Stjernegammen serves arctic delicacies based on local ingredients such as reindeer, salmon and berries, and the venue is set up for courses and conferences. Salmon fishing in the Tana River is one of the core experiences – you can fish with a local boatman right by the guesthouse, and river paddling is also available. Sámi experiences are central: end the evening with grilled salmon and Sámi joik in an authentic lavvu. Other activities include fjord cruises on a Nordland boat on the Tana Fjord, mountain hikes with a local guide and snowmobile safari on the Finnmark plateau. Tana Bridge is approximately 20 km away.
