At the far end of the pier in Ulkopää you will find Horisontti – a quiet tribute to the historic boathouses that have shaped the Varanger coast for generations. The sauna consists of two rectangular building structures that open toward the south, resulting in panoramic views. Here, arctic tradition is combined with modern architecture: steam bathing in the warm sauna room, cold bathing directly in the Barents Sea waves via the bathing stairs, and the opportunity to rest and restore warmth by the fire. It is a place for those who seek simplicity, the presence of nature, and the authentic experience of living with a Northern Norwegian climate.
