Summer café and activity basecamp at Syltefjorden
Camp Syltefjord is Båtsfjord Brygges summer destination – a small basecamp at the end of the world, with a café and magnificent views over the fjord. The café is open daily during the summer season and serves simple, good local dishes, fresh baked goods and ice cream, with the fjord right outside the door. Around the camp await nature experiences you cannot find anywhere else. You can join a guided tour to the bird cliff Syltefjordstauran, a steep and mighty cliff where gannets, divers and other seabirds nest side by side. If you want more action, sea rafting and wakeboarding are offered right from the pier, or you can rent a bicycle and explore the area at your own pace. The camp also tailors experiences for small groups, from birthday celebrations and team building to family outings with dinner and guided tours. The location sits by the former fishing village of Syltefjord, where a small museum and the old chapel can also be visited.
