About Yukigassen

Yukigassen is a Japanese snowball sport that came to Vardø in 1996 — today both a competition and winter festival. The entire town celebrates Yukigassen with concerts and cultural performances, and teams from home and abroad compete for victory. Vardø in festival spirit is an experience you will long remember.
