About Varanger Night: Dr Wessel
DR. WESSEL â opens the clinic in Vadsø and generously distributes blues on blue prescription. Roy Hojem on bass and Yngve Grønvik on guitar provide the homemade mixture, but the blues doctor occasionally feels like prescribing other people's medicine â the power of blues is serious stuff! Chief doctor Dagfinn Gjerde handles the vocal diagnoses, while Erlend Gimse on drums ensures the medicine is properly administered. We have been looking forward to releasing this: Varanger Night is a completely new concept at Varangerfestivalen â a separate concert evening before the festival week kicks off in full. On Wednesday, August 5th, we offer three exceptional concerts, from the beautiful and serene to the big band celebration. Varanger Night requires a separate ticket and is not included in the festival pass â but the price is reasonable, and even better for those who have already secured a festival pass.
