About Varangerfestivalen

Since its inception, Varangerfestivalen has been a platform for music without boundaries. Here, artists from the Northern regions meet established names from home and abroad, all beneath the Arctic summer sky. The festival is known for daring the new and being inclusive – this is reflected in the main program, the YNG area for young visitors, and the children's festival Varanger Jåss. This is a festival rooted in Northern Norway, where original production and local perspectives are as important as international acts. It is about quality, authenticity and music that gets people off the sofa.
