In 2026, Blues in the Winter Darkness celebrates its 30th anniversary. We give blues and you a gift and joyful reunion with two bands that have left their mark among festival-loving crowds in Vardø. Cocktail Slippers have established themselves as an explosive force on the rock scene and captivate audiences worldwide with stadium rock, catchy guitar riffs, and a visual stage presence that truly sparkles. With a refreshing mix of classic rock, garage rock, and clear nods to several decades of rock history, they deliver songs that are impossible not to love for everyone with a beating rock heart.

The band is known as a thrilling live band and masters the art of embracing rock clichés with style, attitude, and a twinkle in the eye – wrapped in a firework display of a quintet with raw energy and infectious playing joy.

In recent years, Cocktail Slippers have solidified their position as one of Norway's strongest live bands. In 2024, they toured both the US West Coast and East Coast, with concerts in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Portland, Boston, New York, and Austin during the legendary SXSW. That same year, they also supported TNT at Rockefeller, Tapperiet at Dahls, and Union Scene to glowing reviews:

In 2025, both Tons Of Rock and Underground Garage Cruise in Miami were on the calendar, where they share the stage with names like Social Distortion, The Hellacopters, L7, and Supersuckers.

Over more than two decades, Cocktail Slippers have been on radio playlists across multiple continents, appeared on television shows, and been strongly featured in the Netflix success Lilyhammer. The band has never let themselves be limited by genre or social conventions – they make music they love, with melodic vocal lines, catchy riffs, and an uncompromising love of rock and roll.
