Most know Rune Blix Hagen as one of the country's leading communicators of North Norwegian history and the witchcraft trials in Finnmark. Fewer know that he is also a passionate beer enthusiast and a significant contributor to the international beer database Brewver, where he has registered and reviewed thousands of different beers and beer establishments â including Nordpol Kro.
In the lecture Beer and Pub Culture in Norway 2020â2026 with Historical Perspective on Beer Brewing in Finnmark, Hagen takes the audience on a journey through Norwegian beer culture, pub traditions and brewing history. Here, today's beer wave meets long historical threads, with stories about beer brewing, pub life and drinking culture â both nationally and locally.
There is hardly a better place to discuss beer and pub culture than Nordpol Kro itself. This will be an evening for history enthusiasts, beer lovers and everyone who appreciates good stories told by one of the region's most popular speakers.
