Since 1997, Vardø has turned upside down for four days in November with great music, excellent atmosphere, and cultural events throughout the city. The festival marks the entrance to the darkest period of the year, and the sky turns blue in the interplay between light and darkness. In the evenings, blues music takes center stage.
