After three kilometers you'll find the turnoff to the gravel road on the right side — easy to spot with the yield sign as a landmark. Park by the old dark driving track and let the adventures begin. The gravel road transforms from solid surface to stony cart track, but that's exactly how it should be. After 3.5 kilometers the kodekort appears — or take a detour down to Makkenes if the mood strikes. The Paddeby descent is steep and sharp — watch out if it's wet. But the reward? The whole way you follow the mountain ridge with Varangerfjorden glimmering like wallpaper beneath your feet. This is Northern Norway at its best.
