# Hiking trail to Skytterbanen from Maridalen Start this classic route at the turnoff on the north side of Maridalselven. The trail follows the river northward through Maridalen until you meet the trail from Neptundalen – here you cross the river, and early in the season it may require some wading. From the junction, you head south towards Skytterhytta, where a trail shelter and benches await you. The area around Maridalselven is perfect for camping if you want to make it a weekend experience. Don't forget to take a look at the old, iconic water house – a stylish reminder of the area's industrial history. Simple, beautiful and full of possibilities!
