Follow the lit trail upward with gentle elevation toward Kirkårdshøgda, where a pleasant bonfire spot awaits. Interested in a geological bonus? 300 meters from the trail lies a fascinating gravel bar from the last ice age. The summit of Gustavsberget (5.5 km) rewards you with magnificent views over Pasvikelva and toward Russia. From there you can choose your descent route – either the same way back or via the forest road and main road. **Tips:** The terrain is wet over the mires, so your choice of footwear matters. The trail is marked both from the folkehøgskole and at Bjørnsund.
