# Hike to Three Royal Monograms Sprikfjellet at 285 meters is far more than just Tana's highest border marker towards Finland. It is a living museum of Nordic history! The trek from Tana bru is short and easy — around 20 kilometers with moderate climbing the entire way. The trail is well marked with blue stripes, and the view improves with every step. The really exciting part? Three royal monograms from different centuries. King Haakon from 1950, Christian VII from 1766, and the colorful Danish king himself — and from the same year, the Swedish-Finnish king Adolf Fredrik. Dry ground, clear markings and a mountain hut at the summit make this a perfect half-day hike. And yes, did you know that old border regulations threatened execution for damaging border cairns?
