The hike takes you over valleys with small lakes, up hillsides, and to the hidden Steinfjellvatnet with its characteristic marsh. Summer offers rich blueberry heather on the south side, and the quiet areas around the lakes are ideal for camping. Classified as blue intermediate – not so much because of difficulty level, but the length demands respect. The terrain is fortunately dry and solid underfoot.
