# Brastind – Kjøfjorden's Hidden Gem Want to experience mountain hiking with truly spectacular views? Brastind awaits you from western Horsvågen, on the mainland side north of Skogerøya. This is a classic loop trail with moderate elevation gain and approximately 11 kilometers total. It starts off easy, but the terrain becomes more challenging the higher you climb. When you reach 446 meters elevation, you are rewarded with fantastic views over Kjøfjorden. Here you'll also find Urraláš' characteristic cairn – a guiding stone pile that distinguishes it from neighboring Brastind. Plan the ferry journey to the mainland into your preparations. This is a hike that requires some experience, but rewards you with nature experiences that truly stand out.
