# Skogerøytoppen — Views Over Østfinmark Start from the idyllic Kobbvågen and set out on a classic Varanger hike! Skogerøytoppen (445 m) is perfect for you if you enjoy moderate climbing and are rewarded with fantastic views. The trail is unmarked, but well-trodden. Most of the hike goes through pleasant terrain – until the end, when it gets a bit steeper on the last kilometer. Nothing that would scare you away, then! **Distance** is approximately 5.8 km each way if you take the nice main route. If you want to spare your legs, there are shorter routes – they just cost you a bit of extra sweat. From the summit? Spectacular views over Bugøynes, Vadsø and Kirkenes. It is precisely that experience that makes this hike worth it. **Remember:** Boat from the mainland to Kobbvågen is necessary. Suitable for everyone with decent hiking fitness!
