# WinterPEARL: Čohkalas – Fish Lake at Torhop Báktejávri – Mountain lake lies as a hidden gem between the mountains in Tana municipality. This classic winter route starts from idyllic Torhop and takes you through quiet forest up towards open heights. 8 kilometers of pure North Norwegian winter magic await you. After 3.5 kilometers you reach the shelter at the forest edge – perfect for a break before the final stretch. But be careful: the weather changes rapidly when you climb to 320 meters elevation. It can blow quite differently up there than by the sea. Starting point is the village association house in Torhop or at Randi Lille and Frank M. Ingilæ's place at Gapahuken. The trail is cleared and followable – bring GPS or a map with you.
