# Hiking to Solvarden East – where silence awaits This trail takes you away from the noise and into the heart of Finnmark. Start by driving up Kirkegårdsveien as far as the road allows, past the football field, then continue on foot along the tractor road uphill. Stay on the main path – avoid the side roads. After 3.3 kilometers you'll find an old cabin in the middle of Solvarden. Here hides a key card in a mailbox – like a little treasure hunt through nature. Don't underestimate this hike. There is considerable elevation gain, and the terrain can be muddy and wet. But the reward is worth it: views over Solvarden and a feeling of being completely alone in the world. A classic mountain hike that doesn't require extreme fitness, just respect for nature.
