This mountain just above the municipal center is a treasure for those seeking quick rewards. Only 1.3 kilometers and moderate incline separate you from the mountain hut and a fantastic view. Although the trail is not marked, the path is intuitive: follow the light trail toward the old alpine slope, continue to the height basin, then a path climbs up the middle of the slope to the summit. Here awaits the view over Tanaelva and down toward the municipal center — this is #gem-trail material. Want to make it all into a bigger experience? Round it off with the light trail on your way down — an extension of about 1 kilometer of pure enjoyable Varanger nature joy. Have a great hike!
