From Austertana you walk approximately three kilometers uphill through nice, dry terrain – a trip that takes about three hours round trip. Start at Bil og Maskin in the village, follow the road before you take the trail towards Klokkarvann. Further on you walk along the stream Geinnodatjohka uphill through the valley. When the tree line is passed, you set your course towards the summit – you find it by the two cairns that stand beside each other. The reward? A spectacular view over Austertana and Tanafjorden itself lying beneath you like a turquoise carpet. A classic that shouldn't be missed!
