Open in Komoot →# Ringmila – A Classic Walk in Your Backyard Feel like a nice stroll without cliffs and effort? Ringmila in Båtsfjorddalen delivers exactly that. The walk starts from the Circle K petrol station or Polar Hotel, and follows what must be Northern Norway's most urban nature trail — the entire way on asphalt and sidewalk. You wander around a mile along Fylkesveg 891, past industrial landmarks such as Neptundalselven and Barents Skipsservice, before you reach the trail box at Lille Jovatn. The name Ringmila reveals the secret: it is a round trip of around one mile. The walk is classified as "moderate", even though there are no significant climbs. Perfect for a late spring evening or when you just need fresh air without drama. Well-known among locals, less known among tourists — and that is a secret worth sharing.
