# Svanerunden meets Frøkendalen – a classic for nature lovers Start from the sports stadium at Fossen school and let yourself be guided eastward on the marked Svanerunden trail. Traktorveien and the path lead you northward toward Svanevannet, where you keep right when the trail splits. Orange pearl trail markers show the way forward – all the way until you cross Vinikabekken on the pallet bridge, where a pleasant bench awaits. Here it really gets good! Half-high hiking boots are recommended for wet sections over moorland before you continue past two red cabins toward Frøkendalen and Sjåbuselva. The mailbox is located here, just a few hundred meters from Varanghalvøya National Park. Around 6 km one way, maximum 200 meters elevation – perfect for everyone who loves traditional Northern Norwegian hiking experiences. If you want more, the park continues inward and along Frøkendalen.
