# Hiking Trail to Reingjerdet – Classic Destination near Båtsfjord Turn off your mobile and take time for this lovely hike along Storbakken. You follow the old access road toward Båtsfjord – a route that tells stories from times past. The road can be a bit uneven in places after rain, so a stroller requires some patience here and there. Along the way, the view toward Jonatoppen (253 m) awaits on your right side. When the terrain flattens out and the road turns westward, Bardosenbakken appears on your left – here you'll find the mountain hut at Reingjerdet. Want more? You can naturally extend the hike toward Reinkalvvatnet, Tverrbekken, or the cabin at Røde Kors/Speidersamfunnet. Varanger rewards those who explore!
