About Aurora Labs Norway
Aurora Labs was founded by Sergiu Curelea, an aurora hunter and Arctic guide with a doctorate in materials science, based in Vadsø. The company combines two passions – northern lights and science – and offers aurora hunting in small groups, guided tours in Vadsø and road trips along the National Tourist Route Varanger. Vadsø is ideally located for the northern lights, with minimal light and air pollution and many clear nights throughout winter. Aurora Labs focuses on niche tourism and authentic Arctic experiences, with small groups and ample time for each guest. Optional supplementary activities such as snowmobile and dog sledding are arranged together with local partners, and the company also assists with practical logistics in the region.
